2024/2025 Ghana SHS and TVET School Placement: What to do if you don’t get a school
The Ministry of Education has announced the release of the 2024 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) for Senior High Schools and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Institutions.
Out of the 563,339 results received from WAEC, 553,155 candidates qualified to be placed. Among them, 447,698 students (80.93%) were placed in schools of their choice, while 104,918 candidates could not match with any selected schools.
For those who were not placed, the Ministry encourages them to use the Self-Placement portal to select an available school. Students can change their choice on the portal multiple times until they officially enroll.
To access the placement, students should visit cssps website or here enter their index number followed by the year “24,” and follow the instructions.
The Ministry cautions parents and guardians against paying any fees for placement services, as the process is free. Orientation begins on October 30, with academic work set to start on November 7, 2024.
For assistance, the Ministry has set up a helpline at 0308258001, along with a National Solution Centre in Accra and Regional Centres across Ghana.
